Plugging 42wd Publishing

42wd Publishing LogoSo I have this jobby that I’m doing. It’s a digital publishing company called 42wd Publishing. I’m not going to go into all the details here as we’re [me and my cohorts] are working on launching a big social info campaign very soon and it’ll have a lot of that info in it.

So here’s my shameless plug – click on the logo to get over to Google+ and throw me into one of your circles. This is my personal account but I’m putting out info about 42wd Publishing until Google+ kicks off its business pages. Once 42wd Publishing gets its own business page it’ll be pure 42wd Publishing. I’ll keep talking about my personal experiences during this experience on my personal Google+ account.

The main purpose of this jobby is to explore new design techniques and integration processes between designers and developers. I hope to be able to publish something [an eBook probably] that will describe everything we went through to get it up and running.

Note: If the logo link isn’t working for some reason click here.

Doc Harvard Design

Making Stuffs Pretty

Let me explain what a designer is. No, it will take to long; let me sum up.

A designer is the special kind of crazy that that looks at something and shouts to the world “I can make that pile of crap beautiful!” O.K., maybe most designers aren’t that crazy [yet]; but, we are a special blend of artist, social engineer, advocate, technocrat, project manager and persuasive skills many politicians and cult leaders wish they had.

To horribly miss quote Yoda “Designers matter not do they? Look at me. Judge me by my design, do you? Hmm? Hmm. And well you should. For my allies are skill and talent, and powerful allies are they. Life creates designers, makes them grow. A designer’s energy surrounds you and binds you to what they have created. Luminous beings are designers, not this crude matter. You must feel the design around you; here, between you, me, the web, the computer, the TV, everywhere, yes.”
