Bad Apple – A Tale of Steve Jobs the Evil and Cowardly Apple

Evil AppleNormally I try to keep my ichor and ire towards the unfriendly like business practices between the big boys of the computer world. After all, in the end, I still have to design for them regardless of my opinion. Yet, every so often there comes such a cowardly and evil action perpetrated by one of the big boys that I just can’t keep my mouth shut.

O.K., many people that know me would say I can’t keep my mouth shut anyway but I’m still gonna rant about just how cowardly and evil Steve Jobs and his precious Apple patents are being. And before I get accused of being with one faction or the other I belong to the “Right Tool for the Right Project” faction. In other words, I use them all when I need to use them.

If you’ve been following any of the number of technology sites you’ll have seen the huge number of lawsuits that Apple has filed against Android usage devices in general, in this instance specifically HTC.

So you identified a need. You realized that need is a valuable one and can save/make your company hundreds of thousands in soft money. You begin the work to create the position that will allow you to leverage the resources you’ll need to accomplish this task. You’ve managed to convince the right people that your vision is a valuable one and that the position that needs to be created for it is a valuable one. All the right people have bought in and then some one else get’s the position. Even better, you have to train them in the role, the duties and even the the basics of the job.

Due Process

Fill out Form 2-1337-4U and move to the red tape. Next.

O.K., so we all wish we could cut through the red tape, skip the process, get the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, have chocolate covered candies delivered and meet that perfect person for us. Reality check, it’s not going to happen, well maybe the chocolate covered candies.

Here’s the thing, the Process is there for a reason. You may not understand it, frankly I usually don’t, but it has it’s roots founded in some need of the company. There are things you can do to help the process along.
